My grandma and my two aunts came to visit for a week. Although they stayed with my mom, we got to see them a lot. Will loved hanging out with his Mammaw and great-aunts!

What a Mess!!!

Update on Will: He's walking like a champ these days...everyone is "mama" (I knew she'd come back!!!) "mama" also means "I'd like that, please hand it to me"...says "diis" and "daat" (which we think is "this" and "that" and "bloon" for balls and balloons...he loves to eat peas, blueberries (his new favorite), broccoli (another favorite), but still no meat!...he's recently learned how to climb up in his water table so he's sitting in 5 inches of water, fully dressed (THAT was a surprise, the first time!)...the piano is still a very fun toy (a real one, not a toy)...he weighs 25 lbs now...
On to our big mess...
Right before Will and I were going to meet my dad for lunch today (like we do every Friday), things got a little too quiet...
He likes to take stuff out of the fridge and walk around with it. Mom wasn't thinking when she let him take a milk jug with him...Thank goodness it was only on the entry! He managed to miss all the carpet (LUCKY)!
He was so proud...

Easter (a little late)
So, I thought we'd be much better about this whole blog thing. Alas, we're not. I have problems with uploading the photos, so I end up giving up rather than finishing the task. I think I'm too impatient. But not today.
Update on Will: walking like crazy, has an 8th tooth coming in, calls everyone "dada" ("mama" seems to have disappeared!), had two HUGE bumps on his head last week from uncoordinated moments...
Will's hair was getting pretty long. We went to get his haircut, which he hated. He now looks like a boy, not a baby. Jason is so happy!
This is Will in his sandbox that his Oma gave him. He loves the sandbox. In fact, he often climbs through the cat door in the backyard and is climbing on top of it, wanting me to open it.
This was my big 3-0, so my mom and sister threw me a surprise party with a few friends. It was so much fun! We all wore BK crowns that Britt painted silver and added jewels.

Let it Snow!
First, a quick update on Will: he's teething like crazy now (he has FOUR coming in on top!!!), is starting to take a couple of steps, but still prefers to hold onto furniture or mom's finger, and has started giving kisses last weekend (They're not really kisses, but he leans in and puts his head to yours, or the stuffed animal's, or whatever). He still loves watermelon, goldfish, and prunes. He's starting to "talk" more--he's added "doon" to his list of "words" (sounds like don't without the "T"). When we went to the doctor for his 1 year appt, he weighed in the high 23's (60th percentile) and was 31 in (90th percentile). Big boy!!!
On to the snow...
We went to Tahoe over President's Weekend with some friends. Nobody had been to the cabin all winter, so there was a ton of snow in front of the cabin--we couldn't even get in the door (see photo #1).
It was an amazing weekend--the skies were blue, it was really warm--probably warmer than at home! We had a good time with our friends--except the babies didn't ever want to go out to eat! We went out for dinner once and lunch twice, and both kids melted down the whole time!!! It was pretty funny, in hind sight.
My friend Heather and I went skiing. It's been two years, and I'm not as good of a skiier as I thought I would be. We went down a tougher run, and let's just say I ended up coming down the mountain in a big ball of snow. Heather tried to get my lost ski for me, but ended up falling herself and losing both her skis and poles. We called it a day shortly after. The guys laughed at us.
Can't even see the front door!

Will's first birthday!
Will turned one two weeks ago--we had Grammie, Grandpa and Aunt Brittney over for dinner on his actual birthday. He LOVED the cake and got really mad when I took the icing (his favorite part), away from him because I didn't want him to get sick!
That weekend, hi Oma (Jason's mom) came up to celebrate, and we had some friends and family over for cake and ice cream. Will had a blast!
Will holding his Oma... or is it the other way around?
Jason, Will and Christina at the birthday bash!
Will ate so much icing he lost his pants!
Oh no! Mommy, Daddy, Grammie, Grandpa and Aunt Brittney stole my clothes on my birthday :(
Let me get this straight. After a year of being told not to put my hands in my food, it's ok to do it now? You guys are so confusing!
If only I could figure out a way to get my new teeth into these things!
