Let it Snow!

First, a quick update on Will: he's teething like crazy now (he has FOUR coming in on top!!!), is starting to take a couple of steps, but still prefers to hold onto furniture or mom's finger, and has started giving kisses last weekend (They're not really kisses, but he leans in and puts his head to yours, or the stuffed animal's, or whatever). He still loves watermelon, goldfish, and prunes. He's starting to "talk" more--he's added "doon" to his list of "words" (sounds like don't without the "T"). When we went to the doctor for his 1 year appt, he weighed in the high 23's (60th percentile) and was 31 in (90th percentile). Big boy!!!

On to the snow...

We went to Tahoe over President's Weekend with some friends. Nobody had been to the cabin all winter, so there was a ton of snow in front of the cabin--we couldn't even get in the door (see photo #1).

It was an amazing weekend--the skies were blue, it was really warm--probably warmer than at home! We had a good time with our friends--except the babies didn't ever want to go out to eat! We went out for dinner once and lunch twice, and both kids melted down the whole time!!! It was pretty funny, in hind sight.

My friend Heather and I went skiing. It's been two years, and I'm not as good of a skiier as I thought I would be. We went down a tougher run, and let's just say I ended up coming down the mountain in a big ball of snow. Heather tried to get my lost ski for me, but ended up falling herself and losing both her skis and poles. We called it a day shortly after. The guys laughed at us. Can't even see the front door!

Heather and I thought we were pretty hot stuff--little did we know the crash that awaited us on Mott's Canyon!!!

Will's first birthday!

Will turned one two weeks ago--we had Grammie, Grandpa and Aunt Brittney over for dinner on his actual birthday. He LOVED the cake and got really mad when I took the icing (his favorite part), away from him because I didn't want him to get sick!

That weekend, hi Oma (Jason's mom) came up to celebrate, and we had some friends and family over for cake and ice cream. Will had a blast! Will holding his Oma... or is it the other way around?
Jason, Will and Christina at the birthday bash!
Will ate so much icing he lost his pants!
Oh no! Mommy, Daddy, Grammie, Grandpa and Aunt Brittney stole my clothes on my birthday :(
Let me get this straight. After a year of being told not to put my hands in my food, it's ok to do it now? You guys are so confusing!
If only I could figure out a way to get my new teeth into these things!
